Berkshire Paralympians representing Great Britain

Louise Sugden was part of GB’s wheelchair basketball squad at London 2012 before switching sports to powerlifting. The Newbury star competed in wheelchair basketball at London 2012, took up powerlifting in 2017 and four years later reached the podium in Tokyo to claim a bronze medal.

Reading swimmer Anthony Stephens who started swimming at the age of 3 has won 5 medals over the last 3 Paralympic games.

Simon Goodall from Wokingham represented GB in the goalball team.

Sam Scowen represented GB and Reading in the mixed double sculls (TAMix2x), Tom Aggar in the men’s single sculls (ASM1x) and Naomi Riches and James Roe rowed together in the mixed coxed four (LTAMix4+).
